Hello everyone!
It’s been a long time since the last news post, but that doesn’t mean I’ve been quiet or absent, on the contrary I’ve been busier than ever. These past few months have been the busiest I can remember in the last few years in the MiSTer FPGA community with the completion of the N64 core, the new amazing cores that are arriving week by week, the spectacular progress of the Saturn core and… the appearance of the “clones” of our beloved DE10-Nano, which bring new possibilities for everyone and a more economical way to access this world, and that last has had a lot to do with the tremendous workload I’ve had these past few months, because instead of just produce more Lite boards I decided to hold and bury myself in schematics and diagrams…
The new Ironclad Lite with support for DE10-Nano, QMTECH Cyclone V and Mister Pi:
One board to rule them all! It hasn’t been easy and many changes had to be made so that the new Ironclad Lite supports the 3 boards that allow access to the MiSTer FPGA world. More options, better for everyone. It halso has other minor improvements and a better design, with integrated standoffs and a more straightforward assembly process and now it is… in RED color!
But none of that would make sense if some functions were left behind, so I also present the new Mt32-Pi Hat for the QMTECH, which in addition to performing the functions of MT32-Pi incorporates the added Real Time Clock (RTC) in the same accessory, this is thanks to the design of the QMTECH Cyclone V KFB, which is very different to the traditional DE10-Nano, that allows me to get the necessary signals using the same connector, this way we have two models an MT32-Pi for de10-nano and Mister Pi, which is the traditional one, and the new one that is exclusive for QMTECH with integrated RTC.
Also, something that bothered me quite a bit was not having my own SNAC adapters, I had some, but not all, so I designed the rest and now I have all the ones I wanted, with special mention to the PlayStation one, which incorporates 2 players, RCA connector for gun, vertical design, inexpensive, and integrated rumble support with adequate motor power without needing external power thanks to the Ironclad power delivery circuit, plug and play, a wonder that does it all.
All of this will be on sale… TODAY!, today the 14th at 17:00 it will be available in the store, I will spend the next hours updating what I am missing on the website about the new products and changes, photos and descriptions, so that you can see all the information before making your purchase.
The new Mt32-Pi for QMtech and the new SNACs will be available at first only as optional add-ons when purchasing the Ironclad Lite, you will be able to select them using the checkboxes in the upper right area that will be visible as soon as the stock comes in, and the “subscribe” form vanishes, as always subscribe to be notified as soon as it is available!
